Key Responsibilities: Network Configuration & Support Configure and manage LAN/WAN setups, VLANs, trunk ports, and IP addressing. Set up and troubleshoot routers, switches, and wireless access points. Assist with Wi-Fi coverage optimization and guest/secure network segmentation. Maintain and update network topology and documentation. Firewall Setup & Security Deploy and manage firewall appliances (e.g., Sophos, Forti Gate, Sonic Wall). Configure firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN tunnels (SSL/IPSec), and access controls. Perform basic log analysis and assist in regular policy reviews and compliance checks. Coordinate with cybersecurity team for IDS/IPS, port forwarding, and security hardening. ️ General IT Infrastructure Duties Provide L1/L2 support for network-related incidents and alerts. Assist in the implementation of backup connectivity, failover, and basic DR configurations. Document SOPs and network configurations for each client/project site. Work closely with the project, helpdesk, and cybersecurity teams for smooth deployments. Preferred Skills & Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in network configuration and firewall management . Familiarity with Wi-Fi architecture , router/switch setup, subnetting, and VLANs. Basic knowledge of firewall policy configuration (NAT, VPN, port rules). Exposure to Sophos, Forti Gate, Sonic Wall , or similar security appliances. Understanding of IP addressing schemes, DHCP, and troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, etc.). Added Advantage (Preferred but Not Mandatory): Exposure to Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO). Basic Power Shell or CLI knowledge for troubleshooting. Experience with ticketing systems, documentation tools, and ITIL processes. Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certifications like CCNA, Fortinet NSE , or vendor-specific firewall/networking credentials are a plus. Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting and logical thinking skills. Good verbal and written communication for documentation and escalation. Proactive team player with a willingness to learn and adapt. Ability to work under pressure in a client-facing or on-site deployment environment.
