We’re Hiring – Lead Piping Engineer | Power & Energy Projects Location: Bangalore (Global Design Centre) Experience: 15+ years Company: Surbana Jurong | SMEC About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Lead Piping Engineer to drive piping design, analysis, and optimization for complex power plant and energy projects. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver world-class engineering solutions and guide a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Lead piping design deliverables, including layouts, isometric drawings, and 3 D models ✅ Perform stress and flexibility analysis (CAESAR II or equivalent) ✅ Develop piping specifications, MTOs, and line lists ✅ Ensure compliance with ASME, API, and project standards ✅ Participate in design reviews, 3 D model reviews, and HAZOP/HAZID workshops ✅ Review vendor documentation and resolve technical queries ✅ Support construction, commissioning, and startup phases Qualifications: ✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (PE license preferred) ✔️ 15+ years of experience in piping engineering for power or oil & gas projects ✔️ Strong background in combined cycle power plants and gas turbines ✔️ Proficient in CAESAR II, Auto CAD, PDMS/SP3 D ✔️ Strong understanding of safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements ✔️ Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills ✔️ Willingness to travel or be based at project sites as needed Interested?
