Manager/Manager - Homologation , you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet all regulatory and compliance requirements for domestic and international markets. This role involves collaborating with design, engineering, quality and testing teams to facilitate the homologation process, ensuring timely certification and compliance with safety and environmental standards. Your roles and responsibilities are: Regulatory Compliance: Research, interpret, and implement regulatory requirements for motorcycle homologation in various markets. Document Management: Prepare and maintain regulatory application documents, including technical specifications and test reports. Testing Coordination: Oversee and coordinate vehicle testing processes, including EMI/EMC, safety, and performance tests at designated facilities. Project Management: Develop and manage homologation project timelines to ensure on-time certification and production launches. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, testing teams, and external regulatory agencies to facilitate compliance activities. Issue Resolution: Identify and address any compliance issues or discrepancies during the testing phase, initiating corrective actions as necessary. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards, adapting homologation processes accordingly. What We’re Looking For: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering or a related field. 5-8 years of experience in homologation or regulatory compliance within the automotive industry, preferably 2 W/e2 W. Strong understanding of vehicle testing procedures, electric vehicle type approval regulations, safety standards, and conformance of production (COP) processes. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and familiar with data analysis tools. Desired Skills: Experience with electric vehicles or advanced motorcycle technologies is a plus. Familiarity with domestic and international homologation standards (AIS, UNECE regulations, GTR etc). Exposure to software testing and homologation. Knowledge of GDPR laws is desirable. Knowledge and understanding of EU 2023/1542 Battery directive/regulation Experience in managing a small team of engineers and technicians Exposure to component level and vehicle level certification/type approval processes Experience in working with suppliers for component homologation Awareness and exposure to FAME/PLI schemes. Understanding of CMVR rules and regulations Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise with internal teams effectively and external stakeholders. Travel requirements: This position is based in our headquarters (Bangalore) in India but may require frequent travel to testing facilities (ARAI/ICAT/GARC/NATRAX) or regulatory bodies as needed.
