TELUS International is looking for a new Language Specialist to work with one of the clients in managing ASR-related activities. This role requires a results-driven and innovative candidate to work from the client location and will be based in Bengaluru. Title: Language Specialist (ASR) Korean Experience: 3+ Years Responsibilities Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of language data. Develop data representing different user groups, locales, and sociolects. Speech Grading, Annotation, and Recording. Advise cross-functional partners/team on language aspects Background in phonetics, semantics, pragmatics, conversation analysis, etc preferred. Experience in NL data analysis/labeling or preferred forms of data review. Knowledge of Text-to-Speech tech and Voice-to-Text tech. Research to stay on top of developments in the area of work. Understand the product end to end and work towards betterment. Proficiency in the Hindi language would be a plus. Contribute to technical blogs, conferences, etc (not mandatory) Qualification Requirement: Bachelor's degree in English, communications, linguistics, or related field (Master's degree, a plus) Tech-savvy with the ability to make complex technical matters easy to understand even for non-technical people Understanding and experience of AI in the Technology scape, a plus An impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions, with a good understanding of US and UK English Proven experience of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint,Excellent verbal and written communication skills
