Jewelry CAD Designer Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Jewelry CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing intricate jewelry pieces using CAD software, ensuring high precision and manufacturability. You will work closely with designers, artisans, and production teams to bring creative concepts to life. Key Responsibilities: Develop 3D CAD models of jewelry designs using software like Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, ZBrush, or 3Design . Convert 2D sketches or conceptual ideas into detailed 3D renderings and technical drawings. Ensure the designs meet manufacturing and gemstone setting standards. Work closely with jewelry designers, artisans, and production teams to modify and improve designs . Create photo-realistic renders for client approvals and marketing purposes. Understand and apply metal weight, gemstone placement, prong settings, and casting requirements . Review designs for structural integrity, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness . Keep up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies in jewelry design. Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Jewelry Design, CAD Design, Industrial Design, or related field. Proficiency in CAD software such as Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, or 3Design. Strong understanding of jewelry production processes , including casting, stone setting, and finishing. Knowledge of various gemstones, metals, and jewelry-making techniques . Ability to interpret hand-drawn sketches and translate them into precise 3D models . Experience in rendering software like KeyShot or V-Ray is a plus. Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills . Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Portfolio of previous CAD designs is required.
