Reporting to the Learning Content Manager, the post holder will support in the successful planning, implementation, continuous improvement and impact of all relevant services, projects, or products, ensuring that these are delivered to remit, quality, and deadline.General managerial duties and responsibilities:Work with academics/subject matter experts to ensure high-quality, accessible, learning materials, including proof reading, copy editing and styling of learning materials, in the form of PowerPoint slides, learning content created directly on the Learning Management System (Canvas, specifically, but not limited to web pages and quizzes) and other documents.Support the day-to-day coordination of academic projects related to content creation and learning materials, including monitoring project milestones on a team tracker and their level of completion.Ensure projects are delivered on time, set targets are met, and outcomes are of a high quality.Provide regular and ad-hoc information, both written and verbal, to project stakeholders.Undertake other projects related to academic resources, reading lists, etc.Oversee the migration of academic content to the relevant platforms.Liaising with the design team, Canvas team and schools to ensure content starts on time and onboarding emails, trainings and resources are provided for content.Innovating and adding to the digital education pedagogy requirements for the institution.Ensure the quality of learning materials, including teaching decks and supporting resources, through copy-editing, proofreading, and design review.Communicate with academic content creators to address content issues or inconsistencies, follow up as needed, and incorporate necessary revisions.Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Efficiently deliver academic projects, focusing on the end-to-end process of content creation and learning material development.Content editing: directly edit learning content to ensure high quality accessible materials.Content Quality Assurance: Collaborate with academic leads to ensure all learning materials, including teaching decks and supporting resources, adhere to required standards through copy-editing, proofreading, design review, and feedback incorporation.Platform Management: Carry out the migration of academic content to relevant platforms and provide high-level support for institution-wide digital learning initiatives.Innovation & Pedagogy: Contribute to the institution's digital education pedagogy by innovating and developing future learning and development ideas or content prototypes.Person SpecificationEXPERIENCE & PERSONAL QUALITIESEssential:Highly organised with excellent time management skillsExcellent written and spoken communication skills both verbally and orallyExcellent interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated team player who is confident and flexible with the demonstrative ability to establish a strong rapport with colleagues.DesirableExperience in a similar role relating to digital content within Higher EducationDemonstrable understanding of the UK Higher Education SystemTECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSEssential:Highly proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel).Experienced in using IT software i.e., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, MS Project, databasesAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesAbility to use and present numerical information clearly and accuratelyEDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONSEssential:An undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification or work experience.
