Objective: Supporting the Restaurant manager in daily operations, with a focus on staff management, customer service, and ensuring smooth operations. This includes tasks like scheduling staff, training new employees, resolving customer issues, and maintaining inventory. Duties & Responsibilities: Assist Restaurant Manager for day to day operations. Hire, train and mentor new staff members Schedule shifts and assign table sections to waitstaff Resolve customer questions and complaints professionally Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues. Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding, schedule trainings, regular briefing. Ensure the restaurant follows health and safety regulations Source better deals on resources and equipment as needed Record all income and expenses, make sure cash registers are balanced at the end of every shift. Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus Requirements and skills: Work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry Familiarity with restaurant management software, like IDS with POS integrated Good math and reporting skills Customer service attitude Communication and team management abilities Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends) High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus
