Divisional Overview: Powai LCC broadly covers the areas of Legal, Compliance and Conduct, and is responsible for building a robust risk and control framework. The Powai LCC teams support Nomura Powai entities, as well as LCC teams globally to ensure effective risk management of Legal, Compliance and Conduct related risks for the firm. Powai Legal comprises of the Corporate Legal and Transaction Legal functions, which provide advice and support on corporate, employment and transactional matters. The Offshore Legal team supports global teams on corporate and secretarial matters, Global Markets, and Masters documentation related requirements. Powai Compliance comprises of functions such as Core Compliance, Trade Surveillance, Electronic Communication Surveillance, Financial Crime Monitoring, Control Room & Disclosure Monitoring and Central Compliance. The teams provide advisory and operations support to global / regional Compliance teams driven by global / regional policies and regulatory expectations. Business Unit Overview: Central Compliance team provides support to Nomura entities globally on Training & Affirmations, Policies Management, Licensing & Registrations, Regulatory Change & Reporting and Infrastructure Advisory functions. Team ensures Nomura staffs abide by the policies and procedures in place to meet applicable compliance requirements and regulatory obligations. The Central Compliance team supports onshore entities in providing guidance and oversight of staff on key Compliance matters. Team assists regions on monitoring, identification, and management of risks as Second Line of Defence for the firm. Position Specifications Function Central Compliance Process Global Compliance Training Job Title Instructional Designer - Compliance Training Corporate Title Analyst Experience Senior Analyst / Assistant Manager Qualification Graduate / Post-Graduate Role & Responsibilities: The Global Compliance Training team ensures LCC training is engaging, effective, and delivered to appropriate global audiences on schedule. We manage training tracking, monitoring, and reporting while implementing diverse learning solutions including face-to-face sessions, question-based training, microlearning, and eLearning. Key Responsibilities Course Development and Design Design and develop interactive online Compliance courses for global learners Apply professional online course design principles and standards Create engaging microlearning and eLearning content Develop SCORM - compliant courses for Learning Management Systems Project Management Collaborate with global teams to gather and interpret content Prioritize work aligned with team objectives and Global Compliance Training Manager requirements Manage multiple deadlines effectively Work with vendor tools utilizing AI, avatars, and video creation capabilities Quality Assurance Conduct comprehensive course testing Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Manage vendor relationships for authoring tools Ensure smooth implementation of learning solutions Required Qualifications Essential Skills and Experience A proven track record of designing and developing effective eLearning and microlearning courses in a professional environment A strong understanding of learning styles and how to incorporate these into online course development Extensive experience working with online authoring tools including Articulate Storyline Experience of creating SCORM compliant online courses for use on a Learning Management System Proven ability to write assessment questions and answers for online courses Extensive experience in analyzing processes and procedures and turning those into effective training solutions Ability to turn training needs into suitable learning solutions Experience in stakeholder management Ability to prioritize tasks according to the needs of the team Proven ability to write Learning Objectives Excellent attention to detail Strong analytical, written and communication skills in English language Ability to work with and engage with global staff at all levels Strong Outlook experience MS Word and Excel and PowerPoint experience Ability to adapt quickly to internal and external change Willingness to be flexible and adapt quickly to changing demands of the role Desirable Qualifications Relevant training qualifications in training design Experience working in a training team; preferably in a Compliance or HR environment Working knowledge of SuccessFactors The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with the ability to work effectively with global stakeholders at all levels while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
