About the Role Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join data science team of Tata Insights and Quants . The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python, SQL, and machine learning, and will play a key role in building data-driven solutions that drive business decisions and impact. Job Description This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the team that develops foundational capabilities enabling enhanced analytics and measurement, critical to shaping global digital adoption and experience strategies. The incumbent will be part of the Customer Analytics team. He/she will be an individual contributor working on customer analytics space as primary responsibility. He/she would work with data to help their clients make better business decisions. Using techniques from a range of disciplines, he/she would draw conclusions from data to describe, predict, and improve business performance. Experience in any of the business domains: CPG, Retail, Marketing Analytics, Customer Analytics, Digital Marketing, eCommerce, would be beneficial. Key Responsibilities Design and build scalable machine learning models to solve real-world business problems. Translate business requirements into clear analytical solutions using data science techniques. Write optimized SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets. Develop and deploy production-ready code using Python. Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to build end-to-end data products. Communicate complex findings in a clear, concise manner to non-technical stakeholders. Continuously monitor and improve the performance of deployed models. Mentor junior data scientists and review their code/models as needed. Requirements/Skill sets Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning. Expert proficiency in Python, including libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy, etc. Strong experience in SQL for data extraction and transformation. Proven ability to build and evaluate supervised and unsupervised ML models. Experience with model deployment, version control (e.g., Git), and working in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Nice to Have: AI frameworks to develop LLM based solutions or Agentic solutions in Pythons Education and Experience Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or MBA with Bachelor in technical. Experience of 5+ Years in data analytics companies with exposure to data science/ business data warehousing & dash-boarding, Computer Vision projects in either one or more of these domains: Retail, E-commerce, FMCG industry.
