Senior Project Manager - Civil Works & Site Execution Title : Senior Project Manager (Retail Fitouts) Location : Mumbai Experience : 10+ years in civil/interior execution for retail or commercial projects OVERVIEW We are looking for a Senior Project Manager – Civil Works to take complete charge of on-site execution across our retail projects nationwide. This role is deeply rooted in civil site execution—from managing labor teams to ensuring that site conditions are perfectly prepared for timely store openings. The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction expert who has led multiple store buildouts, knows how to mobilize and manage ground teams, and can ensure that walls, ceilings, electricals, flooring, painting, and wet works are completed to exacting quality and timelines. Key responsibilities: Civil Works Oversight Lead the full civil execution across all retail fit out sites including brickwork, ceiling systems, painting, electrical conducting, MEP, wet works, and flooring. Mobilize and manage labor teams directly (not just contractors) across regions as per project needs. Supervise and guide site supervisors, foremen, and civil contractors, ensuring daily progress and quality standards are met. Site Setup & Management Conduct site readiness checks before execution begins. Implement and monitor execution plans for each store based on design detailing. Ensure adherence to local norms, safety standards, and best practices. Team Leadership Lead the site supervisory team across all active projects. Assign responsibilities, review site reports, and troubleshoot delays or execution gaps. Set up strong site reporting mechanisms and provide mentorship to junior site staff. Coordination with Design & Fixtures Work with the internal design team to validate drawings for build feasibility. Suggest construction improvements or value engineering where required. Coordinate with the fixture team to ensure civil works are ready for timely fixture deployment. Budget & Quality Control Support budget planning by providing breakups of civil components. Maintain quality control across all sites by setting clear benchmarks and inspection processes. Address material, labor, or structural issues on-site and ensure snag-free delivery. Skills and Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 10–12 years of hands-on experience in civil works execution for retail, commercial interiors, or hospitality fit-outs. Deep knowledge of interior civil construction, finishing materials, and timelines. Strong network of labor teams across regions (walling, flooring, wet work, ceiling, etc.). Excellent team leadership and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Excel, project tracking tools, and reading technical drawings (CAD proficiency is a plus).
