Keywords: Cassandra, Azure and AWS , PostgreSQL ,Bash/Python/PowerShell , DevOpsAbout the Role This role is for a Database Migration Engineer or Cloud Database Specialist with a strong focus on cloud-based database migration and management, particularly involving PostgreSQL and Cassandra. ☁️ Core Technologies Cloud Platforms: Azure and AWS Databases: PostgreSQL (especially Azure Flexible Server), Cassandra Migration Focus: Cassandra: VM-based migration PostgreSQL: Migration from AWS to Azure Flexible Server️ Key Responsibilities Set up and manage Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server environments. Administer Cassandra clusters hosted on virtual machines. Plan and execute migrations, including: Cassandra VM migrations PostgreSQL migrations from AWS to Azure Implement backup/restore strategies, replication, and disaster recovery. Automate database operations using tools like: Jenkins Terraform Scripting (likely Bash, Python, or PowerShell) Ensure database and cloud security, including: Authentication & authorization Encryption Auditing✅ Required Skills Deep knowledge of Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server: performance tuning, lifecycle management, etc. Hands-on experience with Cassandra on VMs. Strong understanding of cloud migration strategies. Proficiency in automation and DevOps tools. Solid grasp of cloud and database security best practices.Ideal Candidate Profile This role is ideal for someone who: Has led or been deeply involved in cloud database migration projects. Is comfortable working across multi-cloud environments (AWS + Azure). Has a strong DevOps mindset and experience with infrastructure as code.
