Job Title: Assistant Professor – Environmental Science (Contractual, 1 Year) Institution: Dayananda Sagar University Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka Department: School of EngineeringPosition Summary: Dayananda Sagar University invites applications for the position ofAssistant ProfessorinEnvironmental Science (EVS)on acontractual basis for a period of one year . The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in environmental sciences and a passion for teaching undergraduate students across disciplines.Key Responsibilities: Deliver lectures and tutorials in Environmental Science to undergraduate students from diverse departments. Design, develop, and update course materials and syllabi in line with university and regulatory body standards. Conduct internal assessments, examinations, and evaluate student performance. Guide students in academic projects and promote awareness of environmental issues. Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and academic audits. Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, and other co-curricular activities related to Environmental Studies. Ensure compliance with institutional academic regulations and NAAC/UGC norms.Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade). Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. or UGC NET qualification.
