Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator with astrong background in Oracle and MS-SQL database management . The ideal candidate will haveat least 10 years of hands-on experience , proven ability to work independently, and flexibility to ensure some overlap (~2 hours) with California business hours. Experience in the banking domain or financial services domain is highly desirable.Key Responsibilities: • Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle and MS SQL databases. •Deep DBA experience in Oracle Databases, RAC & Grid is a MUST (60%) •Senior level DBA experience in MS-SQL Databases is also a MUST (40%) • Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations. • Monitor database performance and implement tuning as needed. • Ensure database security, integrity, and backup/recovery processes. • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues independently. • Collaborate with global teams, including overlapping with California business hours. • Prepare and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures. • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning. • Implement best practices for database management and compliance (especially for banking/finance).Must have Requirements:•Minimum of 8-10 years experience as a Database Administrator (Oracle & MS-SQL). • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. •Willingness to accommodate 2hrs of time overlap with the California time zone. • Deep experience with database design, implementation, installation & maintenance. • Strong troubleshooting, issue resolution and performance tuning skills. • Experience with database security, backup, and recovery. • Excellent communication and documentation/reporting skills. • Prior experience in the banking or financial services sector is a strong plus.NOTE: Applicants must have at least 5 years of individual experience in both Oracle DBA and MS-SQL DBA practices. Additionally, candidates who rate their proficiency below 7 in either area will probably not qualify for next rounds.
