This individual will work closely with the Director and leadership team to identify opportunities, build relationships, and expand our market presence, particularly within thelife sciencesindustry. This is a remote role with flexible hours, ideal for someone who understands the culture, pressures, and regulatory context of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medtech environments.Key Responsibilities:Client Development-Identify and engage with potential clients in the life sciences sector. Develop tailored proposals in response to client needs. Support client retention through relationship management and feedback loops.Market Strategy & Promotion-Contribute to the development and execution of business development strategies. Promote Independent Solutions’ offerings through targeted campaigns and sector-specific outreach. Represent the organisation at virtual industry events and online forums.Partnership & Networking-Build and maintain strategic partnerships with organisations, industry professionals, and decision-makers. Monitor market trends and competitor activity, offering insights to inform growth strategies.Content & Marketing Support-Collaborate on the development of promotional materials, case studies, and thought leadership pieces. Help shape messaging for social media, newsletters, and the company website.Required Skills & Experience:Proven experience in business development, consultancy within thelife sciences sector . Strong network or client engagement history in Ireland and broader EMEA (Europe) markets, with a demonstrated ability to generate leads and secure new business. Solid understanding of pharmaceutical, medtech, or biotechnology industry dynamics. Understanding of GMP, regulatory, quality, or project-based environments. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders – from technicians to executives. Commercial awareness and ability to think strategically about positioning and growth. Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently.Desirable Experience:Previous involvement inmarketing strategy , B2B communications, or promotional content creation. Familiarity with recruitment, training, or operational consulting in the life sciences sector.
