We have powerful stories where the volunteers and community members work together to create opportunities and improve the quality of life of deserving students. We focus on giving leadership skills and training to youth volunteers who design fundraising programs, raise funds, and create opportunities to educate underprivileged college students around the world.Currently we educate about 1200 scholars in India in the fields of STEM / Engineering / Medicine / Finance. We have a distinctive confidence building / mentorship program that focuses on a holistic approach for the betterment of a student’s life rather than just helping financially.This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is service minded and passionate about contributing to the community, at the same time creating a flexible career out of it.Position Title : Program Associate– Scholar EngagementFull Time (8 hrs/day) Remuneration Rs 20,000 - 24,000 per month (depending on experience) Location : Preferred Chennai / Bangalore / Coimbatore - Remote will be considered in some cases Availability -Monday to Friday (8Hours per day - Including 2 hours availability at night - 8 AM - 10 PM); Weekend hours for training coordination as neededResponsibilities 1.Manage scholar process end to end . •Manage the entire approval process including doc verification/ interviews / reference checks / home visits (with the team) for scholarships •Manage periodic touch points with scholars •Training (Yearly Mandatory training) / Internship Mentorship – Connect Professional Mentors / Alumni Mentors with scholars Manage Annual and Periodic Get togethers of Scholars / Donor Visits •Periodic reporting to donors and management with relevant dashboards *Manage Alumni relations and process 4.Any and all related activities surrounding the NGO presence in India 5.Connections and relationships with India CSRs a huge plus 6.Inspire a team of interns and volunteers to help deliver the above tasksRequirements 3+ years’ experience in similar NGO with similar operational goals •Or 3+ years in Tech or other fields with excellent project management experience – and now willing to switch to NGO •Passion for community service, especially in the field of education •Degree holder – Arts/ Social Work / Engineering / Management •Excellent project management skills •Excellent English language skills – both written and spoken – proficient in other languages in India is an advantage •Good communication skills to maintain relationships with members of the organization and respond to their requests regularly. •Working knowledge of Google Drive / Excel / Word / Email etc •Own a laptop or system at home with internet connection - Online work / Telephone work etc Monday to Friday (8Hours per day - Including 2 hours availability at night - 8 AM - 10 PM - for US Calls as well as Scholar outreach); Weekend hours for training coordination as neededMANDATORY - To fill this google form to be considered for next steps - It will take about 15 min to fill.
