What we’re building Leadbeam is an AI-first field sales operating system, built to complete end-to-end revenue generating and data entry tasks for reps that sell outside of the office. There is a massive opportunity to become the day-to-day co-pilot for over 10 million worldwide field sales reps, solved using AI Agents, wrangling big datasets and building beautiful product experiences. We’ve seen customers grow their revenue substantially, while their reps spend far less time doing mundane work. The product is live with paying customers, such as SumUp, FlipDish and Sunday, with very large deals in the pipeline. Reps use Leadbeam daily, giving us a 4.8/5 average rating across review sites and a coveted “Users Love Us” award from G2.What we’re looking for As we’re a cross-border team, Leadbeam’s Head of Engineering will be able to lead a VC-backed, high-growth startup engineering team and bridge the US team members, global customers and India team together to build the best, customer-driven product experience.Our focus for this role: A Hands-on Engineering Leader.Scale product capabilities as we close customers with momentum by managing the engineering team and diving deep into the code when required. You are a role model for a world-class engineering team and your presence raises the quality and speed of delivery.What you’ll own Architect & ship:Make decisions on architecture, coding systems, servers and security. Delegate to a team of great engineers. Then write some code yourself: expect ~50%+ coding to start. AI agents in production:Prototype and iterate on agentic workflows for voice, photo, and maps data. Grow the team:Hire, mentor, and eventually coach a high-leverage group of backend, mobile, and AI/ML engineers to become an industry-leading team. POC → Production:Find creative, innovative and scrappy solutions to develop POCs that can convert and scale to production-level experiences that add value for our customers. Cross-functional abilities:Sync with product, design, and U.S. customer success to bridge requirements and execution; late-evening IST meetings do happen, but we keep working hours flexible.You’ll fit if you Have 7-10+ years experience writing production code and at least one startup experience. Previous engineering people management experience — small teams or large Communicate effectively, with clarity and focus, between founders, engineers and non-technical employees at the company Are experienced in AI/ML, Python, and Postgres; Mobile and AWS is a bonus, but not a must.
