About the Role SharpStakes is looking for a talented and imaginative2D Game Animatorto help bring our playful, high-energy games to life. You'll be working withSpineto animate game characters and UI elements, and craftingstoryboardsthat guide the visual flow and storytelling of our game experiences. This role is perfect for someone who’s worked onslots, mobile, or casual games , loves a fast-paced creative process, and knows how to make animations feel alive—even with simple elements. You’ll be collaborating closely with developers, artists, and product teams to create animations that are clean, expressive, and fun.What You'll Do Animate 2D characters, icons, and UI usingSpine Develop storyboards to communicate animation concepts and game flow Work with the game team to integrate animations usingPixiJS Define and maintain visual animation styles and motion guidelines Optimize animations for performance across mobile and web platforms Provide feedback and iterate quickly based on team input and playtestingWhat We’re Looking For 2+ years of professional experience as a 2D animator in games Strong command ofSpine(essential) Portfolio showing animations for mobile/casual/slots games or similar styles Experience buildingstoryboardsand working through concept-to-final pipeline Knowledge ofPixiJSor experience working with dev teams using PixiJS Great sense of timing, movement, anticipation, and motion flow Clear communicator who thrives in cross-functional teamsNice to Have Experience in the gambling, slots, or iGaming space Familiarity with export pipelines for Spine → PixiJS Illustration, VFX, or character design background UI/UX animation experienceWhy SharpStakes We’re building something that blends sports, culture, and play.
