As Accounts Payable Intern you will be assisting the Accounts Payable team with various tasks related to the processing and recording of financial transactions. This role provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in a corporate finance environment, learning about financial processes, and gaining exposure to the operations of a busy finance department.Key roles and responsibilities: Invoice Processing : Assist in the review and verification of invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure they are coded correctly. 2.Payment Processing: Help prepare and process electronic transfers and payments. Assist in preparing checks for mailing and distribution. 3.Record Keeping: Ensure all financial documentation is accurately filed and maintained. Internal Assist in the preparation of accounts payable reports and other documentation as needed. 4.Reconciliation: Assist in the reconciliation of vendor statements and correct any discrepancies. Support month-end and year-end close processes as needed.Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
