Role Title: Business Analyst Position Summary: This role is responsible for the collection, evaluation, understanding, and communication of business requirements involved in the development of new or the modification and ongoing support of existing enterprise business applications. May lead the business analysis process on small projects or participate with other business analysts on larger projects. This position is the second level within the Business Analyst job family. Job Responsibilities: Is responsible for system requirements definition, testing, implementation, and support of business applications or components thereof that meet or exceed the expectations of FM's employees and customers. This may be the complete effort on a small project, or for a portion of a larger project. Actively solicits business requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing system documentation or procedures. Uses industry standard analysis techniques to uncover business requirements, such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, and workflow analysis. On a small project, may determine the techniques used for this work. Documents the results of analysis activities using the appropriate templates and tools. May develop these templates and tools for use on a small project. Initiates interaction and works closely with other development groups to ensure an integrated business solution. Represents all or a portion of business needs on a project team, depending on the size of the project. Demonstrates solid understanding of FM’s business and business processes within one or more areas. Skill and Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience required to perform essential job functions. Additional Experience Qualifier (optional): 2+ years of general business analysis experience TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: Proven experience with techniques and tools utilized in functional design, data analysis, and data flow diagramming. Experience determining techniques and tools to use. Demonstrated knowledge of FM's current / planned technological environment and the appropriate technologies, tools, and techniques used to solve business problems. TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proven experience gathering requirements, functional design, and influencing business processes of moderate complexity. Proven ability to work in technical environments that use tools involved in data flow diagramming, data analysis, issue tracking, and documentation and presentation. SOFT SKILLS Proven ability to multi-task and establish priorities for own work to meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, oral / written communication and organizational skills.
