Interested candidates, kindly mail to Main Purpose: The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the safety and integrity of process systems by leading and facilitating various safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and LOPA. The position involves conducting risk assessments, participating in incident investigations and performing safety audits to identify and mitigate process safety hazards. Additionally, the role includes providing technical expertise, training plant personnel and ensuring compliance with safety procedures to safeguard operational excellence. Job Accountabilities: Knowledge & experience on studies like HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA for process systems & facilitate the same. Participate in the Management of Change, Risk Assessment, and PSSR. Perform Dispersion Analysis using PHAST. Participate in Incident Investigation. Lead Plant Process Safety Audits. Experience in understanding P&IDs concerning various equipment, instruments, and processes. Ability to review P&IDs from a safety perspective and provide comments. Experience in understanding logic and interlocks concerning various systems. The person is responsible to facilitate, identify, evaluate, mitigation plan, prioritize for closure, verification, periodic review, follow-up, effectiveness tracking of process safety hazards. Follow-up for closure of safety study recommendations. Train plant personnel on Process Safety procedures. Technical evaluation of vendor specification for process safety items, and equipment. Interface with Leads of other departments to reflect the as-on-date input from other departments, as applicable in the case of projects where safety inputs are relevant. Good communication skill is a must and should be good in technical writing in English. Experience in leading process hazard analysis, LOPA, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Skills Required: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess technical information and identify safety risks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Certification in process safety management. Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies for data analysis and risk assessment. Qualification & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred. Experience of 10 years in operations/process safety in oil & gas/ petrochemical / similar industries.
