We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic professional to lead our Agri Commodities Trading division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trading agri-commodities such as wheat, pulses, rice, oilseeds, etc., with a demonstrated ability to build and scale profitable trading operations. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for P&L management, market expansion, procurement, sales, and overall trading strategy. Key Responsibilities: P&L Ownership: Drive the overall business performance of the agri commodities trading division with full P&L accountability. Strategic Planning: Define and implement long-term business strategies for domestic and international trading of agri commodities. Procurement & Sourcing: Build a robust procurement network across mandis, farmers, and suppliers for key commodities. Market Development: Identify new business opportunities, geographies, and products; develop new customers across institutional, export, and B2B segments. Trading Operations: Oversee end-to-end trading operations including pricing, risk management, logistics, hedging, and inventory control. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all government regulations related to commodity trading, warehousing, import/export norms, etc. Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams across procurement, sales, operations, and logistics. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to build strong and lasting relationships. Key Requirements: Experience: Minimum 15+ years of experience in agri commodities trading with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of commodity markets (especially wheat, pulses, oilseeds), pricing trends, procurement dynamics, and risk mitigation strategies. Business Acumen: Strong track record in scaling trading operations, driving revenue growth, and improving profitability. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage diverse business units. Networks: Strong network with mandi agents, FPOs, traders, and institutional buyers.
