Position Overview A ‘Project Coordinator’ is placed right at the start/introductory stage of the product life cycle for Audio Description (AD) creation as part of localization or accessibility services. Localization simply means providing/applying subtitling, dubbing, audio description, or similar services to media content such as feature films, episodic, etc., received from various reputed production houses and studios. A project coordinator is responsible for facilitating the first steps of AD creation on projects assigned to them and performing the tasks in the workflow that bring it to its delivery stage. assigned to him/her, right up till delivery. It is important to understand here that To be able to coordinate and facilitate AD creation, the coordinator is expected to possess exceptional written and spoken communication skills, to convey the right instructions to our staff and freelancers, translators and be able to adopt and implement the common terminology and workflows relating to Audio Description services. In addition to this, the coordinator will be put through a detailed training of the bespoke online platform used by the coordination team to assign/ schedule/facilitate Audio Description services, therefore expecting one to understand and grasp well all navigation and related functions on the platform. Primary Responsibilities ❑ Set up new project assigned to them in the platform and assign tasks as needed, ensuring each step of the workflow is accurately accounted for. ❑ Maintainaccurate due dates in the platform. ❑ Update work trackers to ensure projects are being assigned to writers/proofers/voice actors in a timely fashion and to denote accurate status of projects. ❑ Be involved in daily communication and follow-up to ensure each project flows smoothly within the timeline, receives adequate checks, and is completely ready for delivery on time. ❑ Provide support to writers/proofers/voice actors regarding projects that are work in progress. ❑ Effectively communicate with teammates if there will be a delay in any part of the workflow due to an incomplete task that is the Project Coordinator's responsibility. ❑ Attend production calls as needed. ❑ Remain flexible and proactively help as needed in an area of need.
