Roles & Responsibilities Participate in product design, concept finalization, and development activities in coordination with design engineers. Prepare and update technical drawings, BOMs, and design documentation using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation activities. Coordinate with the production team to ensure manufacturability of new designs and resolve any design-related production issues. Ensure proper documentation of ECNs (Engineering Change Notes) and design modifications. Support standardization, value engineering, and cost-reduction initiatives in product designs. Interact with vendors for development of critical components and evaluate feasibility of outsourced parts. Ensure adherence to relevant IS/IEC standards and client specifications in design. Maintain project timelines and report progress to the D&D Manager. Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) for any field or internal quality failures related to design. Skills & Qualifications: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 2–4 years of experience in product design, preferably in electrical/mechanical product manufacturing. Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances. Good knowledge of industry standards (IS, IEC, etc.) Excellent coordination and communication skills. Exposure to ISO/Quality management systems is a plus.
