Position : Articled Assistant (Articleship Trainee) Department : Audit, Taxation, and Accounting Reporting to : Chartered Accountant/PartnerRole Overview The articled assistant will support the firm in executing client assignments in areas of accounting, auditing, taxation, and financial reporting. The position provides practical training in line with ICAI regulations and aims to impart professional experience and technical knowledge.Key ResponsibilitiesAudit & Assurance Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, stock audit and tax audits for various clients across industries. Perform vouching, verification of assets & liabilities, compliance testing, and preparation of audit documentation. Taxation Prepare and file Income Tax Returns (ITR) and Goods & Services Tax (GST) returns. Assist in Tax Audit Report preparation (Form 3CD) and respond to notices under various tax laws. Accounting & Bookkeeping Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts for clients. Support in the preparation of financial statements as per applicable accounting standards (AS/Ind AS). Company Law Compliance Draft board resolutions and maintain statutory registers under the Companies Act. Assist in incorporation and ROC filings (MCA compliance), and liaise with company secretaries. Client Interaction Liaise with clients to collect necessary data/documents and explain compliance requirements. Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct in all assignments.
