We are looking for a Domain Consultant – Aviation (Airports & Airlines) with IoT Expertise to join our Travel, Transportation, and Hospitality (TTH) IoT practice. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in airport operations, airline processes, and cargo logistics, along with an understanding of how IoT solutions can enhance passenger experience, baggage handling, asset tracking, aircraft turnaround, and cargo logistics.Key Responsibilities:The role involves working closely with aviation clients, responding to RFPs, defining digital transformation strategies, and collaborating with technical teams to design IoT-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency, automation, and real-time decision-making.Client Engagement & Solution ConsultingEngage with airports, airlines, and cargo operators to understand their challenges and identify IoT-driven transformation opportunities.Develop solutions for airport asset tracking, baggage handling, passenger flow management, aircraft turnaround monitoring, and cargo logistics.Lead discussions with aviation operations teams to define smart airport strategies, operational automation, and predictive maintenance approaches.Provide thought leadership on digital aviation trends, including real-time data analytics, digital twins, and airport automation.RFP & Pre-sales SupportWork with business development teams to respond to RFPs, RFIs, and proposals, aligning IoT capabilities with aviation business requirements.Define business cases, ROI models, and transformation roadmaps for aviation clients exploring IoT adoption.Assist in bid defense, client presentations, and solution walkthroughs.Collaboration with Technical TeamsCollaborate with IoT architects, data engineers, and developers to ensure aviation business requirements are effectively translated into IoT solutions.Define use cases, functional requirements, and data flows for airport and airline digital transformation initiatives.Support proof-of-concept (PoC) implementations and help scale successful solutions across multiple sites or dustry Research & Thought LeadershipStay updated with emerging trends in aviation technology, IoT, and airport automation.Represent the company at industry forums, aviation summits, and smart airport events.Publish whitepapers, case studies, and blogs on IoT adoption in aviation.Must-Have CompetenciesAirport Operations & Automation – Knowledge of airport ground handling, baggage management, terminal operations, and passenger movement.Airline Operations & Aircraft Turnaround – Understanding of aircraft scheduling, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul), and turnaround time optimization.Baggage & Cargo Logistics – Experience with baggage reconciliation, lost baggage tracking, cargo warehousing, and airport logistics.Passenger Experience & Flow Management – Awareness of passenger journey optimization, queue management, facial recognition, and biometric boarding.Regulatory Compliance & Safety – Understanding of aviation regulations (IATA, ICAO), security protocols, and safety compliance.Aviation Sustainability & Efficiency – Exposure to fuel efficiency, carbon footprint tracking, and energy optimization at airports.Good-to-Have CompetenciesIoT for Smart Airports & Airlines – Exposure to RFID, GPS, BLE, and sensor-based tracking solutions for aviation assets.Digital Twins & AI for Aviation – Understanding of digital twins for aircraft maintenance, airport simulation, and predictive analytics.Real-time Data & Predictive Analytics – Experience with AI/ML-driven demand forecasting, predictive maintenance, and passenger flow optimization.Edge & Cloud Computing – Knowledge of cloud-based aviation solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud IoT).Cybersecurity & IoT Compliance – Awareness of aviation cybersecurity challenges, IoT security frameworks, and regulatory requirements.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.15+ years of experience in airport/airline operations, aviation logistics, or passenger experience, with exposure to IoT solutions.Strong analytical and consulting skills, with the ability to translate aviation challenges into technology-driven solutions.Experience in client-facing roles, with strong presentation and communication skills.
