Title : Freshworks Configuration & Integration Specialist (Node.js) Experience Level: 3-5 Years Location: Remote Shift Timings: Night Shift (Aligning with US Time Zones) Candidates available to join immediately will be given preference Job Summary: This role requires a highly motivated and skilled Freshworks Configuration & Integration Specialist with a strong background in Node.js development . The role optimizes the Freshworks suite (Freshdesk, Freshservice, Freshsales, etc.) by implementing effective configurations, developing custom applications, and building robust integrations. The candidate should have a deep understanding of Freshworks products, with expertise in Node.js , to create tailored solutions that meet business needs. Key Responsibilities: Freshworks Configuration: Design, configure, and maintain various Freshworks modules, including but not limited to: Ticket workflows, service requests, and incident management within Freshdesk/Freshservice. Customer lifecycle management and sales processes in Freshsales. Omnichannel support and chatbot configurations within Freshchat. Implement and manage roles, permissions, and security settings within the Freshworks platform. Customize fields, forms, dashboards, and reports to align with business requirements. Custom App Development (Node.js): Utilize the Freshworks Developer Kit (FDK) to develop and deploy custom applications that extend Freshworks functionality. Develop serverless apps using Node.js to address specific use cases and automate processes within the Freshworks ecosystem. Write clean, efficient, and scalable Node.js code for backend services and APIs that interact with Freshworks and other systems. Implement robust error handling and ensure code quality through testing and best practices. Integrations: Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Freshworks products and other internal/external systems using RESTful APIs and webhooks. Leverage the Freshworks API SDK for Node.js to streamline integrations with platforms like Freshteam or partially Freshservice. Problem Solving & Optimization: Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Freshworks configurations and custom solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Freshworks configurations, integrations, and custom applications. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within Freshworks workflows. Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT, and other developers, to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Provide training and support to end-users on new configurations and features. Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, custom applications, and integrations. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-5 years of hands-on experience configuring and administering Freshworks products (e.g., Freshdesk, Freshservice, Freshsales). Proven experience in developing backend applications and integrations using Node.js (v18.13.0 or later). Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with Node.js frameworks like Express.js. Expertise in RESTful API development and consumption. Familiarity with webhooks and asynchronous programming concepts. Experience with database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL). Working knowledge of the Freshworks Developer Kit (FDK) and app development best practices. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Certification in Freshworks is a must. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular) for customizing Freshworks apps. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
