At GeoServe, we’re looking for an Emissions Manager to lead regulatory initiatives and drive emissions performance across our operations. Job Summary As Emissions Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing pro-active division-specific environmental programs, ensuring compliance with global maritime emission regulations while promoting sustainable practices. Data Management: Handling large volumes of emissions data and ensuring its accuracy for regulatory and client reporting. Sustainability Integration: Integrating sustainability strategies into operations and business development. Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with customers, stakeholders to promote environmental awareness. Performance Monitoring: Monitoring the emissions performance of vessels and recommending corrective actions for underperforming vessels is crucial. Sustainability Certifications: Leading sustainability certifications and reporting processes, with reference to IMO and ISO standards. Task & Responsibilities Operational Management: Lead day-to-day team operations, assign tasks, drive operational performance and implement improvements where necessary. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to maritime regulations and update internal compliance processes. Technical Control: Regular review of technical reports, implement quality checks, and resolve discrepancies or issues in technical documentation. Technical Assistance : Provide expert technical advice to customers and emissions team. Resolve technical queries and support through consultations or site visits. Customer Satisfaction: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and expectations. Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service quality. Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues and concerns. Experience & Qualification Bachelor’s degree in marine/ mechanical engineering with at least Class 1/ Class 2 – Marine Engineer Officer COC OR Master Mariner with Masters COC Shore experience of at least 2 years in emissions management. Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of the EU and UK MRV Regulations Knowledge of the IMO Data Collection System (DCS) and Operation Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) scheme. Knowledge of the Clean Shipping Index (CSI) scheme. Prior experience as Commercial Operator will be positive for the role.
