Job Description

About the Role:Looking for a dynamic and hands-on  Junior Research Engineer  to support the  experimental characterization, casting, and testing  of  Textile Reinforced Concrete (TRC) Panels  under the supervision of the Senior Research Engineer. This role involves direct responsibility for preparing, executing, and documenting  lab-scale and prototype-scale trials  of TRC wall panels with variable reinforcement, mix designs, and geometries. The aim is to generate a robust  experimental database  for validating design methodologies and ensuring performance superiority over traditional wall systems.Key Responsibilities:Experimental Casting & FabricationAssist in  preparing moulds , reinforcement frames, and casting beds for TRC panel production.Perform  weigh batching, mixing, casting, and curing  operations for panels with variable mix matrices and skin thicknesses (10 mm, 12.5 mm, etc.).Support the setup of  prestressing mechanisms  (wedge/thread-bar based), handle tensioning operations, and ensure safe practice.Material & Mechanical TestingConduct physical and mechanical property tests:Flow table, slump flow, setting time, compressive/flexural strengthPull-out, screwability, and impact testsSurface inspection for cracks, porosity, and defectsAssist in preparing  standardized datasheets  for all panel configurations, including testing reports and failure observations.Data Handling & DocumentationRecord all experimental observations, process parameters, and testing results accurately.Assist in  statistical analysis  of results and correlate performance trends.Maintain material inventory, casting logs, curing cycles, and test records in a well-documented format.Required Qualifications:M.E/ M.tech in Structural Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent0–2 years of experience in  concrete casting, material testing, or construction R&DFamiliarity with  standard testing protocols  (IS/ASTM/EN) and lab instrumentationDesired Skills & Attributes:Strong interest in  experimental research  and  material innovationAttention to detail, punctuality, and commitment to accurate testingBasic knowledge of  cement chemistry and concrete additivesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a lab/field environmentWillingness to handle physical workloads in casting environmentsGrowth Opportunity:Work alongside senior researchers on  cutting-edge TRC technologiesBuild hands-on expertise in  prestressed composites, thin-shell casting , and  next-gen wall systemsDirect contribution to a nationally relevant  innovation and product launchJoin the Team That's Redefining the Future of ConstructionImagine a world where buildings come together as effortlessly as LEGO® bricks — precision-engineered modules crafted in factories, delivered with unmatched speed, and assembled with intuitive simplicity. At the heart of this vision is our cutting-edge Research & Development team, relentlessly working to turn this bold future into a reality. What We’re BuildingWe are pioneering Modular Building Technology (MBT) — a transformative construction system that blends:Factory-level quality and consistencyRapid, scalable on-site assemblyInnovation rooted in science and inspired by simplicityWe're not just designing buildings — we're engineering systems that empower people to create spaces that are faster to build, safer to inhabit, and smarter to live in.Who You'll Work WithYou’ll become part of a vibrant ecosystem where:Seasoned engineers bring wisdom from decades of experienceYoung innovators challenge boundaries with fresh ideasCross-disciplinary minds from materials science, structural design, digital modeling, and fabrication unite around a single goalWe thrive on collaboration over hierarchy, and value every voice at the table — because true innovation happens when diverse perspectives align.R&D Team Charter – Modular Building Technology (MBT)This charter outlines the foundational principles, strategy, and cultural DNA that guide our R&D team in executing the mission of  MBT  — a vision to transform the way the world builds. Our MissionTo create a next-generation Modular Building Technology  that  empowers and enriches lives  — a system so advanced in quality, precision, and reliability, yet so intuitive and seamless in assembly, that  anyone, anywhere  can build inspiring, durable, and scalable spaces. We envision MBT as a breakthrough in micro-construction — combining  factory-made modules ,  snap-fit simplicity , and  scientific depth , engineered to benefit not just individuals, but all of humanity. Our Principles1. Democratizing Construction InnovationWe commit to broadly distributing the benefits of MBT by:Embedding scientific innovation at the core — from  physics and chemistry  to  structural engineering and material science .Closing the gap between institutions and individuals by enabling  decentralised construction empowerment .Making high-end construction technology  accessible, modular, and replicable .2. Transforming Science into Real-World ImpactOur duty is to convert  scientific breakthroughs  into  user-centric, real-world solutions .We break silos by:Listening to  end users  and understanding ground realities.Partnering with  construction communities  to ensure seamless adoption.Designing systems that are not only innovative but  intuitive and practical .3. ️ Safety at Scale – Without Slowing Down InnovationWe recognize that  scaling fast  is necessary, but  safety at scale  is non-negotiable.Like supercars engineered to perform safely at high speeds, MBT must be  resilient under rapid deployment .We aim to  anticipate and address potential failures before scaling , not after — through simulation, prototyping, and robust frameworks.4. Technical Leadership with PurposePolicy and advocacy aren’t enough. To shape the future of construction:We must be on the  cutting edge of MBT capabilities .We strive to  lead with depth , not just opinion — bringing a combination of  technical rigor ,  architectural elegance , and  systemic insight .5. Radical CollaborationWe don’t build in silos. We build  with the world .Collaborating with  scientists, architects, engineers, policymakers, health experts, and communities .Engaging  internal and external stakeholders  — from customers and companies to grassroots builders.Balancing  openness and intellectual property protection , fostering innovation while respecting creator contributions.Core Values That Drive Our TeamMBT-First FocusWe are relentlessly focused on building  modular, fast, safe, intuitive  systems that scale impact. If it doesn’t serve MBT, it’s out of scope.Intense & ScrappyWe work with urgency and ownership. We embrace  the unglamorous , chase  the unconventional , and do  whatever it takes  to make things work — always guided by truth and effectiveness.Think & Build at ScaleWe believe in  the magic of scale  — in our thinking, systems, ambitions, and models. When in doubt?  Scale it up.Make Things People LoveOur work should create  joy, utility, and meaning  in people’s lives. We aren’t just building walls — we’re shaping spaces that  inspire, protect, and uplift .Team SpiritTrue breakthroughs come from collaboration. We embrace  cross-functional synergy , even when our teams differ in priorities. Our  alignment of purpose  ensures all efforts move us toward the  same vision .Own It – Nothing Is “Someone Else’s Problem”We take  complete ownership  — of problems, solutions, decisions, and outcomes. We act with integrity, initiative, and a  bias toward action .In SummaryThe future of construction is not built by chance — it is engineered by  conviction, collaboration, and creativity . Through this Charter, we affirm our commitment to making  MBT a living innovation  — one that’s built on science, scaled through trust, and designed to serve  people, planet, and purpose.Apply for Junior Research Engineer – FEM & Simulation (TRC Panel Design) :G-form Link :
