At Visy India, their technology hub in Hyderabad, they are expanding their technical capabilities to support their global business. Primary Responsibilities: Platform Leadership: Lead the end-to-end development and operation of the enterprise data platform. Define and implement data architecture best practices across AWS and SAP landscapes. Cloud and Infrastructure Oversight: Manage and evolve data platforms in AWS (e.g. S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Athena). Work with infrastructure teams to optimize performance, cost, and security. SAP Data Integration: Design and maintain data pipelines using SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services). Support and extend SAP BW models and reporting capabilities. Facilitate data integration between SAP and non-SAP systems. Project Management & Delivery: Lead cross-functional teams on data migration, transformation, and modernization initiatives. Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. Governance & Quality: Enforce data governance, quality, and compliance standards. Maintain documentation and metadata for platform components. Team Leadership: Mentor junior team members and provide technical oversight. Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Experience & Qualifications Mandatory: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. 8+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, or platform development. Extensive experience with AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, S3, Athena, Lambda). Deep knowledge of SAP BW (on HANA or BW 4HANA) and SAP BODS. Experience in ETL / ELT design, data modelling, and data integration patterns. Proven experience in leading technical teams and large-scale projects. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge SAP MM, SAP Sales and SAP Finance is desirable Skills (Technical, Business, Leadership): AWS Services: Amazon Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, RDS, Athena, Kinesis, EMR SAP BW: ETL, SAP BW Queries, Data Modeling (InfoObjects, DSOs, InfoCubes, Composite Providers) Programming / Scripting: Advanced SQL, Python ETL / ELT Tools: AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, SAP Data Services Big Data Frameworks: Apache Spark, Hadoop Version Control: Git, GitHub, Bitbucket CI/CD: Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, Terraform Monitoring & Logging: CloudWatch Data Governance: Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and metadata management AWS Certified Data Analytics or AWS Solutions Architect certifications. Experience with data lake architectures and advanced data integration techniques. Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and AI integrations. Exposure to real-time data processing tools (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming). Experience in production support / BAU Working knowledge of change control processes and impacts Should be able to evaluate and prioritize tasks Involvement in a mixture of new application development, maintenance and technical support.
