A day in the life: You are an independent manager who is comfortable managing team members with different skill sets from your own and you can communicate expectations clearly to all team members. In addition to strong management skills, you act as a leader for the technical roadmap for your team and you communicate timeline, scope and risks to partners and stakeholders, and lead the delivery of major initiatives on clear timelines. You identify areas of strategic technical debt, do the cost / benefit analysis for resolving this debt and communicate suggested timelines for prioritizing this to the management team. You demonstrate leadership by supporting the growth and development of your team as a whole and individually. Core Accountabilities: Lead a team of developers across multiple work streams simultaneously Adjust process and timeline to ensure that high quality deliverables are produced Ensure the right skills are being used to solve the right problems across your team Guide teams toward best practices and be able to participate in code reviews when needed Identify and remove roadblocks to success Accountable for direct report(s) onboarding and functional training plans Manage daily operations of platforms and systems, including infrastructure and system security Ability to lead and influence cross functional teams that include architects, analysts, developers and QA analysts Help team members stretch their role to support career progression Responsibilities: Uses structured tools for analysis and presentation of concepts and models to enhance business requirements Work collaboratively with external consultants, internal & external resources throughout the project lifecycle to ensure system modifications meet business needs Support day-to-day project requirements and needs where required Support and Lead production issues as related to application functionality and integrations Qualifications: Strong problem solver and ability to work under ambiguous situations Ability to be curious and learn quickly Excellent spoken and written communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) Proven experience in managing data warehouses and ETL pipelines Solid scripting capability for analysis and reporting (Strong PL / SQL and expert SQL) coming with a performance mindset as well as functionally precise Expert SQL development skills with ability to write complex efficient queries for data integration Strong analytical skills to support BAs and ability to translate user stories / work closely with the tech team Strong problem-solving skills (Math skills required for data modeling) Ability to work as a back-end developer (PL / SQL) Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines Possess expert level understanding of software development practices and project life cycles. Strong experience with cloud platforms namely AWS / GCP / Oracle Cloud / GCP At least 3+ years of People management experience Must have: Working experience in dealing with large data volumes and data manipulation.
