The ideal candidate should have 8–10 years of experience in Port DA management, preferably in a ship owning or operating setup.Task & ResponsibilityManage the Husbandry DA team responsible for port disbursement reviews, verification, and settlements. Ensure end-to-end coordination of all husbandry-related matters, including crew changes, spares delivery, repairs, cash-to-master, etc. Negotiate with port agents and vendors globally to drive down cost while ensuring service quality. Develop and maintain a robust port cost database, including port tariffs, standard cost benchmarks, and historical trends. - Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives, through analytics, better planning, and process automation. Audit and validate DA claims, challenge unnecessary charges, and ensure recovery or avoidance. Liaise with technical and procurement teams to understand port needs for dry dockings, repairs, and project cargo. Prepare and monitor KPIs related to DA turnaround time, cost variances, and vendor performance. Implement and drive SOPs, controls, and continuous improvement in DA and husbandry workflows. Collaborate with finance for budgeting and accruals, ensuring accuracy of cost provisioning. Engage in training and upskilling of team members on port practices and cost analysis.
