A Cloud and Infrastructure Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and securing an organization's cloud and on-premise IT infrastructure. They ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of infrastructure resources whileleading a team of engineers or system administrators.Preferred Experience:1. 7+ years in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership position2. Hands-on experience in cloud architecture, systems administration, and network management3. Experience managing large-scale cloud migration or infrastructure modernization projects4. Domain expertise in the industry (e.g., fintech, edtech/skilling, health-tech, e-commerce, government) is advantageousMain responsibilities inter-alia include1. Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure across cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise environments; Develop and maintain infrastructure strategy, aligning with organizational goals and digital transformation plans.2. Cloud Management: Lead migration to cloud platforms and manage multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments; Optimize cloud usage (cost, performance, compliance) and manage cloud service providers.3. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor infrastructure and DevOps teams; Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure timely project delivery.4. System Operations & Monitoring: Oversee uptime, capacity, backups, and disaster recovery; Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus).5. Security & Compliance: Ensure systems follow organizational and regulatory security practices; Implement identity and access management, firewall rules, and compliance policies.6. Automation & DevOps: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation; Support CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).Required Skills:1. Cloud Platforms: Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP2. Infrastructure Management: Linux/Windows Servers, storage, networking, DNS, firewalls3. Tools & Frameworks: Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Git4. Monitoring & Logging: ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk5. Security: IAM, network security, encryption, VPNs, firewalls6. Strong knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and ITIL practices7.
