Job Title: MSSQL DBA with AWS/Azure ExpertiseJob Description: We are seeking a skilled MSSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Azure to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our MSSQL databases hosted on AWS/Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.Key Responsibilities: Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain MSSQL Server databases in AWS/Azure environments. Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies. Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Perform regular database backups and restore operations as needed. Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database structures for improved performance. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. AWS/Azure Integration: Utilize AWS services such as RDS, EC2, and S3 for database hosting and management. Implement and manage database replication and clustering in AWS. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and incidents in a timely manner. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot application-related database issues. PoC Development: Lead the design and implementation of proof of concept projects to validate new ideas and technologies on AWS/Azure. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria for PoCs. Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on AWS/Azure services, architecture, and best practices to ensure optimal solutions. Evaluate and recommend appropriate AWS/Azure services and tools based on project requirements. Documentation and Reporting: Document PoC findings, including architecture diagrams, implementation details, and performance metrics. Present results and recommendations to stakeholders, highlighting potential benefits and challenges. Mentorship: Mentor and train team members on AWS/Azure best practices and PoC methodologies. Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as an MSSQL DBA, with a strong understanding of database design and management. Proven experience with AWS/Azure services, particularly RDS, DRS, S3, DevOps, and EC2. AWS/Azure Certified Database – Specialty or similar certification. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
