Job Title: MSSQL DBA with AWS/Azure ExpertiseJob Description:We are seeking a skilled MSSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Azure to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our MSSQL databases hosted on AWS/Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.Key Responsibilities:Database Management:Install, configure, and maintain MSSQL Server databases in AWS/Azure environments.Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.Backup and Recovery:Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.Perform regular database backups and restore operations as needed.Performance Tuning:Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database structures for improved performance.Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.AWS/Azure Integration:Utilize AWS services such as RDS, EC2, and S3 for database hosting and management.Implement and manage database replication and clustering in AWS.Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and incidents in a timely manner.Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot application-related database issues.PoC Development:Lead the design and implementation of proof of concept projects to validate new ideas and technologies on AWS/Azure.Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria for PoCs.Technical Expertise:Provide expert guidance on AWS/Azure services, architecture, and best practices to ensure optimal solutions.Evaluate and recommend appropriate AWS/Azure services and tools based on project requirements.Documentation and Reporting:Document PoC findings, including architecture diagrams, implementation details, and performance metrics.Present results and recommendations to stakeholders, highlighting potential benefits and challenges.Mentorship:Mentor and train team members on AWS/Azure best practices and PoC methodologies.Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as an MSSQL DBA, with a strong understanding of database design and management.Proven experience with AWS/Azure services, particularly RDS, DRS, S3, DevOps, and EC2.AWS/Azure Certified Database – Specialty or similar certification.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
