Join our dedicated team and help us maintain the highest standards quality and safety.Role Description TheCustomer Follow-up Engineerplays a critical role in ensuring timely machining and delivery of cast components to customers by maintaining strong communication with clients and managing outsourcing vendors. This includes monitoring machining progress both in-house and at outsourced units, addressing customer queries, and ensuring timely dispatch of machined pump and valve components.Roles & Responsibilities: 1.Customer Communication & Coordination: Act as the single point of contact for customers regarding order status, machining updates, and dispatch schedules. Address and resolve technical or delivery-related queries through coordination with internal departments. 2.Outsourcing Unit Management: Coordinate with third-party machining vendors to ensure timely execution of outsourced jobs. Review and monitor machining progress at outsourcing units and fix delivery timelines as per customer requirements. Conduct regular follow-ups and site visits to ensure quality and schedule compliance. 3.Order Tracking & Delivery Commitment: Track customer orders through each stage—from raw casting, machining (in-house or outsourced), to final dispatch. Ensure internal and vendor adherence to customer delivery timelines. 4.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of outsourced order statuses, timelines, and delivery notes. Generate weekly and monthly status reports for internal and customer use. plaint Handling & Resolution: Log customer complaints related to delay, quality, or documentation and coordinate with internal and external teams for resolution. Ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented when required. ternal Communication & Planning: Liaise with PPC, Quality, Stores, Dispatch, and Vendor Management teams to align priorities and schedules. Provide early alerts for any potential delivery slippages and suggest corrective measures. 7.Post-Dispatch Support: Ensure timely dispatch documentation including invoices, DCs, test certificates, and packing lists. Obtain customer acknowledgements and maintain communication until final receipt confirmation. 8.Customer Relationship & Vendor Engagement: Build trust with key customer and vendor contacts through proactive communication and problem-solving. Participate in customer visits, audits, and review meetings.Qualification & Skills: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering Experience in customer coordination and machining outsourcing 3–6 years in customer follow-up, vendor coordination, and order management in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of steel casting machining process and inspection parameters Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and component routing Understanding of outsourcing workflows and capacity planning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong coordination and follow-up ability Time management and documentation skills ERP/Excel proficiency preferred
