Opportunity for Lead - Tooling Validation COC for a Leading global auto technology companyWe are seeking an experienced tooling specialist to lead and manage the complete lifecycle of injection tools for advanced automotive lighting systems. The role demands deep expertise inmold design validation ,tool commissioning , and2K moldingtechnologies—ensuring robust designs, timely execution, and flawless performance across supplier and plant environments.10-15 years’ experience in Injection Tool design /Injection Tool follow-up activity for Automotive lighting components.Key Responsibilities EvaluateInjection Tooling Feasibilitybased on Product CAD data and design limitations. PrepareInjection Mold RFQ Input Sheets , enabling accurate cost and capability assessment. ConductMold Flow Analysisreview for gate placement, weld line mitigation, and cooling efficiency. PerformTool Design Validationagainst our client and OEM specifications—driving design excellence and manufacturability. Lead weeklyTool Follow-Upwith suppliers, tracking manufacturing progress vs. committed timelines. Participate in and supportTool Trials(T0–T3), optimize process parameters, and document open issues. Ensure closure of tooling issues from design to dispatch stage through rigorous tracking and resolution protocols. OverseeTool Validationat supplier facilities andTool Commissioningat plants. Assess ECN feasibility and collaborate with SCM for cost impact negotiations.Skills & Requirements Advanced knowledge ofInjection Mold Design , tooling steels, mold flow analysis, and injection processing. Strong understanding ofautomotive lighting componentsand industry standards. Experience inCMM inspectionand part dimensional validation. Familiarity with 2K molding processes and performance criteria. Proficiency in UG NX/CATIA, Teamcenter, Work Explorer, and MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint). Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to drive supplier collaboration. Awareness of tooling cost structures and component feasibility analysis.Qualification Post Diploma/Diploma in Tool Design & Manufacturing Technology from CIPET/ NTTF/ GTTC/ IGTR/ CITD/ Equivalent
