Job Role: Cisco Thousand Eyes Engineer Job Type: Full Time Job Location: Bengaluru (Work From Office) Experience: 5-7 YearsDescription We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cisco ThousandEyes Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing Cisco ThousandEyes solutions to ensure optimal network performance, visibility, and reliability. This role demands a proactive individual who can troubleshoot complex network scenarios and provide insights into network health and user experience. Key Responsibilities: 1. Deployment and Configuration: - Install and configure Cisco ThousandEyes agents across the network, ensuring comprehensive coverage and efficient performance. - Set up and optimize ThousandEyes tests, including network path trace, DNS server, HTTP server, page load, and Voice over IP (VoIP) tests. 2. Network Monitoring and Analysis: - Continuously monitor network performance and application delivery through Cisco ThousandEyes dashboards and reports. - Analyze data collected from ThousandEyes to identify trends, anomalies, and potential areas of risk in the network. 3. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: - Investigate network issues identified through ThousandEyes insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them. - Serve as a subject matter expert for ThousandEyes, providing guidance and support to network engineers and IT staff. 4. Optimization and Maintenance: - Ensure that ThousandEyes agents are updated and functioning optimally by performing regular checks and maintenance tasks. - Recommend and implement strategies to enhance network reliability and performance based on ThousandEyes findings. 5. Reporting and Documentation: - Generate detailed reports and visualizations on network performance and user experience for stakeholders. - Document policies, procedures, and guidelines related to the use and management of Cisco ThousandEyes. 6. Continuous Improvement: - Stay updated on the latest features and updates from Cisco ThousandEyes. - Evaluate and implement new network monitoring technologies as needed to enhance the organization's monitoring capabilities.Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in network monitoring, with a focus on using Cisco ThousandEyes. - Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and telecommunications systems. - Proficiency in configuring and analyzing ThousandEyes tests and data. - Experience in troubleshooting network performance issues and using analytical tools to derive insights. Skills and Competencies: - Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with other network monitoring tools and technologies is a plus.
