As a joint venture between BW Offshore and Planet Energy, we provide world-class solutions for complex energy operations with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.Role Overview: We’re seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to provide design assurance and technical support for offshore oil & gas production facilities, particularly FPSOs. This role ensures electrical systems are safe, reliable, and compliant with international and company standards, while supporting asset integrity, brownfield modifications, and operations.Key Responsibilities: Deliver design assurance for electrical systems in brownfield modifications, asset integrity, and plant upgrades. Review & approve electrical design deliverables developed by EPCs and vendors. Provide input for HAZOPs, SAFOPs, risk assessments, and management of change processes. Act as Technical Authority and Barrier Owner for Safety-Critical Elements (SCEs). Ensure electrical equipment and system design comply with IEC, ATEX, and Company Standards. Support vendor selection, procurement evaluations, inspections, and site visits (onshore/offshore). Mentor teams and assess offshore electrical personnel (RPEs) on competence. Utilize tools like ETAP, EDSA, LUXICON for power system modelling and analysis.Candidate Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech or equivalent). 15–20 years of electrical engineering experience in offshore Oil & Gas design (FPSO experience preferred).Strong knowledge of: Medium Voltage Power Systems, Power Generation & Distribution Hazardous Area Equipment and IEC 60079 / ATEX standards Power Management / Load Shedding Systems Proficient in ETAP, EDSA, or equivalent tools. Good interpersonal, team collaboration, and presentation skills. Must be willing to travel offshore as per project requirements.
