Job Title: Assistant Director – Corporate Relation & Placements Location:[Bangalore & Hyderabad] Department:Corporate Relations & Placement Cell Reporting to:Director – Corporate Relations & PlacementsJob Purpose: The Assistant Director – Placements will be involved in creating a strong industry connect across the ITES/NON-ITES/Manufacturing/Service & Sales Industry segment’s in and around Bangalore/Hyderabad to help generate maximum placement & Internship opportunities for students across programs at DBS GLOBAL UNIVERSITY, Dehradun. The role involves, engaging with leaders of HR and talent Acquisition Teams across the various Industries, B4’s and leading Industry names in a view to evangelize and help increase the Industry-Academia interface and invite these potential recruiters to conduct placement drives for the students at our university campus. This role also should have the capability to engage with industry partners and help establish COE’s/Skill Development initiatives at the university campus in participation with the industry leaders.Key Responsibilities:Placement Strategy & Planning: Assist in designing and implementing annual placement strategy. Identify industry trends and align placement activities with market demand. Coordinate with academic departments to understand student strengths. Industry & Corporate Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with recruiters and industry professionals. Organize corporate visits, HR conclaves, and networking events. Explore new placement partners across sectors and geographies. Placement Operations: Schedule and coordinate campus interviews and pre-placement talks (PPTs). Manage internship and final placement processes across all programs. Handle logistics and requirements of visiting companies. Student Preparation & Support: Guide students on resume building, interview skills, and career planning. Conduct workshops, mock interviews, and aptitude training sessions. Maintain a placement readiness index and provide one-on-one Training. Database Management & Reporting: Maintain and update student and recruiter databases. Prepare regular reports on placement statistics, trends, and employer feedback. Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with institutional standards. Alumni & Employer Relations: Leverage alumni for placement opportunities and mentorship programs. Coordinate alumni meets, webinars, and guest lectures.Key Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong industry network and corporate understanding Ability to multitask and manage deadlines Leadership and team management capabilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and data reporting Event management skills are a plusQualifications & Experience: MBA/PGDM or relevant Master’s degree in HR, Marketing, or Education Management 5–8 years of experience in placements, corporate relations, or career services Prior experience in academic institutions preferred
