TalentGum is trusted by 1 lakh+ happy registered users across 70+ countries.Role Overview : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Category Management to lead our category teams, oversee strategic initiatives, and ensure smooth operations across hiring, team management, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills to drive growth and efficiency.Key Responsibilities: Team & People Management : Lead and manage all Category Leads across multiple verticals. Monitor performance metrics and ensure accountability and productivity across category teams. Identify facilitator hiring requirements in collaboration. Provide mentorship and regular performance feedback to team members.Operational Excellence: Oversee daily category operations and ensure alignment with business targets and objectives. Act as the point of escalation for operational or inter-departmental issues related to category teams. Ensure smooth coordination between category, sales, marketing, product, and operations teams.Strategic Initiatives: Drive and manage key strategic projects related to category expansion, pricing, partnerships, or product assortment. Identify new growth opportunities by analyzing category performance, customer trends, and competitor insights. Work closely with leadership to develop and execute short- and long-term strategies.Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Liaise with internal leadership, partners, and vendors to ensure smooth functioning of category initiatives. Generate periodic reports and insights for senior management, highlighting key metrics and actionable strategies.Requirements: 5–8 years of experience in Category Management, Business Operations, or a similar strategic leadership role. Proven experience managing mid to large teams and cross-functional projects. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
