Job Description

Role Overview:As a Technical Instructional Designer, you’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and customer-facing teams totranslate complex technical topics into accessible, outcome-driven learning content . You’ll design training modules, certification paths, onboarding experiences, and self-service content that empowers users and employees to succeed with our product.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), including engineering and product teams, to understand technical concepts and convert them into structured learning materials. Connect with our leadership team and proactively create a technology learning ecosystem (user experience and learner journey) for our employees Build a network of training partners across the globe that helps us scale at the fastest pace Design and execute the technical roadmap for our campus hires (time to productivity) Manage our team of instructional designers. Establish team structure and define KPIs Design and develop e-learning modules, microlearning, video tutorials, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual ILT, and blended learning paths. Create certification programs, onboarding curricula, product training, and knowledge assessments for customers, partners, or internal technical teams. Leverage instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM, Agile Learning, etc.) to build scalable learning solutions. Manage content across Learning Management Systems (LMS) and platforms like Articulate, Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, etc. Design and implement data analytics that provides insights into the learning performance Apply adult learning principles, accessibility standards, and technical storytelling to drive engagement and retention. Analyze learner feedback and performance data to optimize content effectiveness. Collaborate cross-functionally with L&D, customer success, product marketing, and tech teams.Required Qualifications:8–10 years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or technical training in aproduct or SaaS environment . Strong understanding oftechnical concepts(APIs, cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, databases, etc.) and experience working with technical SMEs. Proven experience designing bothcustomer-facingandinternaltraining for developers, engineers, or technical users. Hands-on proficiency withLMS platformsand tools like Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, or similar. Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and modern learning standards. Excellent communication, storytelling, and visual design skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in aSaaS or product-led growthcompany. Knowledge ofHTML/CSS , Markdown, or basic scripting for technical demos/tutorials. Exposure to tools like Confluence, GitHub, Figma, or Notion for collaborative documentation.
