Design, train, and optimize proprietary AI models for reconciliation (e.g., transaction matching, anomaly detection) and accounting (e.g., ledger automation, predictive forecasting) using advanced techniques like LLMs, graph neural networks, and reinforcement learning. Proven track-record in designing and building Machine Learning systems and using Cloud technologies. Familiarity with ML implementations in financial technologies or accounting systems is a plus. Develop rigorous evaluation frameworks (evals) to ensure models exceed 99% accuracy across diverse datasets, including edge cases in financial data. Implement continuous improvement loops with synthetic data generation, fine-tuning, and human-in-the-loop validation. Architect end-to-end systems for data ingestion, model deployment, and inference at scale, integrating with financial APIs (e.g., QuickBooks, Stripe) while ensuring security, compliance (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR), and low-latency performance. Lead a high-caliber engineering team. Foster a culture of innovation, rapid iteration, and excellence in code quality. Strategic Input: Contribute to product strategy, fundraising, and partnerships. Own equity in the company and help steer our path to becoming the #1 AI CFO service. Innovation & Research: Stay ahead of AI advancements in fintech, experimenting with emerging tools (e.g., multimodal AI for invoice processing) to maintain our competitive edge. LOCATION: Bangalore/India/Singapore.Education:Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.RequirementsTechnical Expertise : 7+ years in AI/ML engineering, with proven experience building production-grade models in domains like fintech, NLP, or computer vision. Deep knowledge of frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and experience with large-scale data pipelines (e.g., Apache Spark, Airflow). Domain Knowledge : Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reconciliation, or related fields. Experience with AI in regulated and compliance-driven industries (e.g., finance) is a plus. Proficiency in performance metrics(e.g., precision, recall, F1 score, AUC, MSE), validation techniques (e.g., cross-validation, holdout, bootstrapping), bias/fairness testing (e.g., SHAP, LIME, IBM AI Fairness 360), and tools like TensorFlow Model Analysis, PyTorch, or H2O.ai. Skills in building automated pipelines for continuous evaluation and stress testing under edge cases. Leadership Track Record : Prior experience as a tech lead or founder in a startup, with a history of shipping high-impact products. Ability to balance hands-on coding with strategic oversight. Problem-Solving Mindset : Demonstrated ability to tackle ambiguous challenges, such as achieving high accuracy in noisy data environments. Education : Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, AI, or a related field preferred, but exceptional self-taught candidates are welcome.
