This role requiresdeep expertise in HP NonStop (Tandem)environments, including development inTAL, C, C++, Enscribe, SQL/MP or SQL/MX , andPathway-based systems . You’ll play a crucial part in ensuring high availability, performance, and maintainability of mission-critical systems in a healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and support Tandem-based applications inTAL, C, and C++ Design and optimize file structures usingEnscribeandNonStop SQL/MP or SQL/MX Implement and maintainPathwayserver classes, requesters, and IPC routines Write and manageTACL scriptsfor automation, job control, and monitoring Interface with diagnostic instruments viaserial/OSS-based listeners Develophigh-throughput transaction processing modules Troubleshoot and debug using tools likeINSPECT, TDEBUG, and GDB Participate in requirements analysis, testing, and deployment cycles Optionally support legacyCOBOL-basedcomponents for claims workflows Must-Have Technical Skills: AdvancedTAL (Transaction Application Language) Strong proficiency inC / C++on HP NonStop Hands-on experience withEnscribe file systems(keyed/unkeyed, >2GB handling) Proficient inNonStop SQL/MP or SQL/MX(schema design, procedures, joins, tuning) Experience working withPathway(server classes, requesters, IPC) Strong scripting withTACL(automation, diagnostics, deployment) Familiarity with bothGuardian and OSSenvironments Debugging withINSPECT, TDEBUG, GDB Nice to Have: Experience inCOBOLon Tandem (legacy support) Knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, memory management Exposure toCI/CD , version control systems (Git preferred) Ideal Candidate 8+ years of experience in Tandem application development Strong understanding of high-availability systems and medical data workflows Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a remote setting Strong communication skills to interact with global teams and stakeholders
