Position: Lead Story Writer – Gen Z Short-form Series Type: Freelance / Part-Time / Remote-friendly Start Date: ASAP Location: Open (but if you're in Hyderabad, we high-five)What We’re Building We’re launching a cinematic storytelling project for Gen Z and Gen Alpha — raw, emotional, romantic, messy, funny, painfully real. Think @listentbh meets your favorite rom-com meets hostel chaos. We already have the team — Director, DOP, Editor, Cast — now we’re looking for the brain behind the feels: a damn good storyteller.What You'll Do Craft 10–15 episodic arcs (30s–90s per episode) in genres like:College love storiesBreakups and situationshipsFriendships and falloutsDreams, struggles, rejections, glow-upsWrite scripts that read like real conversations — Gen Z tone, meme-coded, cut-worthyBrainstorm with director + editor for flow and scene transitionsCreate characters that feel like your friends — flawed, dramatic, lovableDrop cliffhangers that make people smash that followYou’re Perfect If You: Have soul in your writing (and can make people cry or scream in the comments)Love series like Accidentally Yours, Little Things, Mismatched, or Yeh Meri FamilyCan write emotionally rich stories with tight dialogue and crisp beatsUnderstand Instagram storytelling — what works visually and emotionallyAre obsessed with pacing, relatability, and punchlinesHave 1-2 samples or reels to showcase your vibe (or just blow us away with one idea)Bonus If You: Have written for reels, shorts, ad films, theatre, or even your college festKnow what music track can elevate a scriptHave a Notion or Google Doc filled with random story ideas you never pitchedHow to Apply Send:2 samples (scripts or links to your stories/videos)A one-liner story idea you'd pitch if this was your showYour Instagram handle (if you're active there) To: hr@“If it makes you feel something in under 60 seconds — it's cinema.” Come build that kind of cinema with us.
