Position Summary The Patient Support Leader will be a key driver in enhancing the organization’s impact on the lives of people with rheumatic conditions. This role combines event management, patient advocacy, relationship-building, and strategic oversight to help raise awareness, build strong patient networks, and improve healthcare access for individuals living with conditions like Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, empathetic, and passionate leader with strong communication and event management skills, as well as the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with medical professionals, especially rheumatologists. Key Responsibilities 1. Event Planning & Coordination Lead the planning, organization, and execution of patient education workshops, awareness campaigns, support group meetings, and health events that help inform and empower individuals living with rheumatic diseases. Create and deliver content-rich programs that educate patients about managing their conditions, navigating treatments, and fostering overall well-being. Coordinate the logistics of both in-person and virtual events, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish. 2. Relationship Management with Healthcare Professionals Establish and maintain relationships with rheumatologists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of rheumatic diseases. Act as the main point of contact between the patient community and medical professionals, ensuring effective communication about patient needs and concerns. Work with rheumatologists to develop patient-centric events, including webinars, expert Q&A sessions, and interactive discussions. 3. Community Engagement & Support Foster a strong sense of community among patients through peer-support groups, online forums, and local meet-ups. Facilitate ongoing communication and feedback loops to ensure patients feel supported and heard. Actively listen to patient concerns, helping to address issues and providing resources for mental and emotional well-being. 4. Advocacy & Public Awareness Represent Antardhwani at medical conferences, health expos, and community outreach events, advocating for the rights and needs of patients with rheumatic diseases. Collaborate with advocacy groups and medical organizations to increase public awareness and understanding of the challenges faced by patients living with chronic rheumatic conditions. Advocate for policies that improve healthcare access and support for individuals with arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and related diseases. 5. Program Monitoring & Reporting Regularly assess and report on the effectiveness of events, programs, and outreach efforts. Collect patient feedback and track community engagement metrics to continuously improve future initiatives. Provide progress reports to senior leadership and stakeholders, offering data-driven insights into patient needs and program impact. Qualifications & Experience A degree in Healthcare Management, Public Health, Event Management, Social Work, or a related field is preferred. 3+ years of experience in patient advocacy, event management, healthcare support, or related fields.
