Post: Student Recruitment Manager (South India & Sri Lanka) for the University of Plymouth(UK) Location: Chennai, India This role is responsible for recruiting high-quality prospective students from South India & Sri Lanka to the University of Plymouth (UK). The candidate must be hardworking, target driven, diligent, passionate about overseas education & student counseling, a good team player and prepared to travel frequently. This role is directly managed by and must report to the South Asia Regional Manager at Wilma Paul Consulting and is required to assist with all marketing, recruitment and admissions activities, contributing to University of Plymouth’s overall recruitment & marketing strategy for India and Sri Lanka. Job Description  Provide genuine and ready guidance to all direct and agent supported students who are interested to study at the University of Plymouth, to include all Course, Scholarship, Admission & Visa related information. Regularly report about acquired student and market data to the South Asia team + International Office, and assist with strategies for higher enrollments. Coordinate all student queries and application data with the South Asia Regional Manager and the Admissions office at University of Plymouth. Work on the University provided Admissions portal everyday to enhance application support and shorten the response time/close any gaps in issuing offers to students (and agents). Draw target driven reports and analysis from the region - via the Admissions and CRM Portals. Visit existing agent partners for training and development, market updates and student meetings regularly. Attend and organize marketing and recruitment events in South India & Sri Lanka to support the agent network, and generate prospective leads and applications for the University of Plymouth.  Provide complete support and assistance to all agents & partners in the region, by engaging in their marketing & promotional activities, and assisting with their application/admission follow up requests. Engage in offer holder and conversion events throughout the year - particularly in South India and Sri Lanka. Travel to Sri Lanka a few times a year to support agents and university activities in the region. Provide operational and recruitment support to Pan India activities organized by the South Asia team particularly during visiting Faculty tours from University of Plymouth, Pre Departure events, and other student focused events. Manage all requests, enquiries and any grievances from students & agents in the region. Submit quarterly activity and progress reports to the South Asia Regional Manager. Candidate Profile: Must be based in Chennai / Kochi / Bengaluru Experienced candidate working in overseas higher education and/or student recruitment for over 3-5 years. Preference to candidates who have worked in UK Higher education. Must have experience working in a customer-focused and target driven environment.  Educated to a Master’s degree level, MBA is desirable but not compulsory. Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, listening & speaking) in English and compulsory conversational skills inn Tamil / Malayalam / Kannada. Above average IT / computing skills to work with Admissions and CRM Portals and Data analysis tools. Readiness to work in a busy environment and meet targets and deadlines, occasionally work under pressure during peak recruitment months of the year. Ability to communicate freely and clearly to students and agent partners, as well as the University of Plymouth staff. Must be excellent at managing relationships with students, parents, peers and various university stake holders. Willingness and readiness to travel across cities frequently in South India and occasionally Pan-India (only when required) Approachable and affable in nature. Ability to scale the operations to a better milestone for the University of Plymouth.
