Job Title: Engineering Manager – Automotive Software & Systems Location: Mysore Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and driven Engineering Manager to lead cross-functional development teams in delivering high-quality automotive software and system solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning engineering activities with corporate and automotive industry standards (A-SPICE, ISO 9001, ISO 27001) , managing technical resources, driving process adherence, and ensuring project profitability and customer satisfaction. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical oversight, playing a key part in shaping both team structure and engineering direction. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with international customers and global engineering teams. Background in developing safety-critical systems or AUTOSAR-based platforms. Active participation in industry working groups or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, A-SPICE assessor). Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Process Governance: Drive compliance with A-SPICE, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 , and other relevant industry standards. Ensure proper utilization of development tools (e.g., ALM systems , requirement management tools, software configuration management). Provide guidance to software and systems teams to follow defined development processes and standards. Team & Project Management: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Software (SW), Systems (SYS), and Hardware (HW) domains. Collaborate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to define optimal team structures and resource allocation. Oversee engineering activities to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables aligned with customer and internal milestones. Strategic Planning & Budget Control: Define and manage project budgets, engineering resource planning, and profitability metrics for the engineering organization. Support customer negotiations related to project scope, staffing, and timelines. Make data-driven decisions to maximize organizational efficiency and technical output. Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration: Define and maintain cooperation models between local and remote teams to ensure seamless execution. Facilitate effective communication across departments and geographies, ensuring alignment with business goals. Organizational Development & Representation: Mentor and develop engineering talent; foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Represent the company in external forums (e.g., industry associations, conferences) and contribute to publications or patents as appropriate. Uphold the company’s values and protect proprietary information and assets. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering field. Proven experience in engineering management within the automotive, embedded systems, or related industries. Strong knowledge of A-SPICE, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and automotive quality standards. Hands-on experience with engineering lifecycle and development tools (e.g., ALM, requirements and version control systems). Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, budgets, and cross-functional projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
