Understanding and Translating Brand Briefs Collaborate closely with account managers and strategy teams to dissect and understand brand briefs. Identify the brand’s voice, tone, and core messaging to ensure all creative outputs resonate with the target audience. Develop tailored communication frameworks that align with brand objectives across social media platforms, keeping in mind platform-specific nuances (e.g., LinkedIn’s thought leadership, Instagram’s visual focus vs. Twitter’s brevity). 2. Content Creation and Copy Development Social Media : Write engaging, platform-specific copy for posts, ads, captions, and stories that inspire interaction. Conceptualize and develop trending, shareable content that aligns with brand strategy and campaign goals. Branding Material : Draft compelling taglines, slogans, and key messaging for campaigns, ensuring consistency with the brand identity. Collaborate on the creation of visual briefs and copy that complement design elements, ensuring a cohesive look and feel. Regularly incorporate insights from performance analytics to refine copywriting strategies. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with creative directors, designers, and media planners to ensure the alignment of copy with visual and strategic goals. Partner with strategy teams to incorporate audience insights, competitive analysis, and emerging trends into copy development. Act as a bridge between the client’s vision and the creative team, ensuring brand stories are communicated effectively. 4. Strategic Thinking for Campaigns Approach campaigns with a holistic mindset, integrating creative ideas across various digital touchpoints (social media, email marketing, websites, etc.). Develop and pitch innovative concepts for campaigns that address specific client objectives and challenges. Stay ahead of industry trends, tools, and social media best practices to propose forward-thinking solutions. Encourage brainstorming sessions to foster creativity and innovation within the team. 5. Client Relationship Management Presentation : Present ideas, copy drafts, and campaign updates to clients with a focus on demonstrating how the material meets their brand’s objectives. Feedback Incorporation : Quickly adapt and revise copy based on client feedback without compromising the creative essence. Account Coordination: Support the account management team as and when needed. 6. New Business Development Contribute to crafting compelling pitches for potential clients, showcasing expertise in branding and social media strategy. Develop mock-ups and sample content to demonstrate the creative team’s capabilities during business presentations. Stay attuned to industry developments to identify new opportunities for client engagement and content innovation. Key Insights for a Creative Strategy Team Social Media-Specific Expertise : Crafting content that adapts seamlessly to diverse platforms (e.g., LinkedIn for professional tone, TikTok for playful storytelling). Using analytics to create data-driven strategies and inform creative decisions. Branding-Focused Communication : Ensuring all materials reinforce the brand’s identity, creating a consistent narrative across campaigns. Agility and Responsiveness : Meeting the demands of fast-paced digital campaigns while maintaining high-quality output. How We’d Expect You To Split Your Time Very thoughtfully. But here’s an indicative split as a guide: Content and Copywriting for clients: 80% New Business Development: 20% What You’ll Need (must-haves for the role) : 3-5 years of copywriting experience with a Digital Marketing/ Advertising/ PR agency (ad agency background highly preferred) A strong copy portfolio, having worked on big brand campaigns Strong client liaison skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations and delivery timelines What Would Be Nice to Have Master’s degree in Literature/ Communications/ Advertising or related field Experience managing large account portfolios Ability to integrate social media into PR plans Freshly brewed coffee-making skills.
