Job Title: Principal Consultant_ Digital Twin/IOT+BIM Coordinator – Water & Infrastructure Projects Location: Mumbai --- Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking BIM & Digital Twin Coordinator to manage and oversee the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Digital Twin technologies across water and infrastructure projects. This critical role involves the implementation of digital solutions that integrate real-time data from Internet of Things (IoT) devices, sensors, and other data sources into BIM models, creating powerful Digital Twin systems that enhance the lifecycle management of water, infrastructure, and utility projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with BIM, Digital Twin technologies, IoT integration, data analytics, and AI/ML. This role requires knowledge of industry-leading Digital Twin technologies, including but not limited to IBM Maximo, Siemens, Hexagon, Invicara, Autodesk Tandem, and other similar digital twin platforms. --- Key Responsibilities: BIM & Digital Twin Management: · Support the integration of BIM and Digital Twin technologies across large-scale water and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, client requirements, and industry standards. · Develop, implement, and manage the Digital Twin Workflows, ensuring accurate and effective integration of IoT, sensors, and real-time data with BIM models to create dynamic, real-time digital representations of physical assets. · Oversee the integration of various construction-related Digital Twin technologies, including any of them or in combination such as IBM Maximo, Siemens, Hexagon, Autodesk Tandem, and Invicara, into project workflows, facilitating data-driven decision-making and optimizing project delivery and operational performance. · Manage and supervise the implementation of API development for seamless communication between BIM models, Digital Twin systems, IoT platforms, and other construction technology ecosystems. · Ensure that IoT devices and sensor data are accurately integrated into the Digital Twin models, enabling real-time monitoring and predictive analytics for ongoing asset performance and maintenance. Collaboration & Coordination: · Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental engineers) to ensure the seamless integration of BIM and Digital Twin processes into the project design, construction, and operation stages. · Facilitate and coordinate regular BIM and Digital Twin meetings, ensuring all project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and clients, are aligned on objectives, data integration strategies, and project goals. · Provide technical guidance to project teams regarding the implementation of processes, supporting the creation of accurate, reliable models and data outputs. · Manage external collaborations with technology providers, software vendors, and consultants to ensure effective integration and implementation of Digital Twin solutions. IoT Integration & Data Management: · Oversee the integration of IoT devices and sensors into Digital Twin models, ensuring real-time data is captured and reflected in the models to improve operational efficiency, predictive maintenance, and lifecycle management. · Develop and manage processes for continuous integration of data from various sources, including IoT sensors, GIS data, real-time environmental data, and survey data, into BIM and Digital Twin platforms. · Ensure effective management and analysis of large datasets generated from IoT devices, sensors, and other monitoring systems, ensuring the data is accurate, relevant, and accessible for project stakeholders. · Lead the design and implementation of API development for data exchange between BIM, Digital Twin, IoT, and asset management systems, ensuring seamless connectivity across platforms. AI/ML & Predictive Analytics: · Collaborate with data scientists and engineering teams to implement AI/ML solutions for analysing data within the Digital Twin models, leveraging predictive analytics for forecasting asset performance and potential failures. · Identify opportunities to integrate AI and machine learning algorithms into Digital Twin systems to enhance project outcomes, operational efficiency, and decision-making. · Develop AI-driven solutions for optimizing real-time monitoring, maintenance scheduling, and asset lifecycle management through the Digital Twin. Clash Detection & Issue Resolution: · Utilize BIM and Digital Twin technologies to conduct clash detection and coordination analysis, ensuring potential design and construction issues are identified early in the project lifecycle. · Manage real-time collaboration to address conflicts, changes, and discrepancies within the models, providing solutions to maintain project schedules, quality standards, and budget. · Proactively manage and monitor the Digital Twin systems to ensure that real-time data is accurate and up-to-date for operational purposes. Model Quality Assurance & Compliance: · Conduct regular quality control checks on both BIM models and Digital Twin systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and industry regulations. · Oversee the validation and verification of Digital Twin data, ensuring that real-time data is properly synchronized and integrated with BIM models. · Ensure that all BIM and Digital Twin outputs meet the project requirements and are aligned with relevant industry standards and client expectations. Lifecycle Management & Asset Handover: · Manage the handover of Digital Twin models to the operational team, ensuring that all real-time sensor data, asset performance metrics, and maintenance schedules are integrated into the Digital Twin for ongoing facility management. · Work with operations and maintenance teams to ensure that the Digital Twin continues to evolve with real-time data throughout the lifecycle of the infrastructure asset, enabling improved operational management, predictive maintenance, and post-construction optimization. · Contribute to closeout documentation, ensuring that final as-built BIM models, Digital Twin datasets, and maintenance information are correctly handed over for future use. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: · Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in BIM, Digital Twin, IoT, AI/ML, and API development to continuously innovate and improve project delivery. · Explore and implement new technologies that enhance the Digital Twin’s capabilities, improving asset management, decision-making, and operational efficiency. · Foster a culture of digital innovation, encouraging the use of emerging technologies to drive sustainability, operational performance, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. --- Required Skills & Qualifications: · Education: o Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. o Certification or professional training in BIM, Digital Twin technologies, or related fields is preferable. · Experience: o Minimum of 6-16 years of experience in BIM coordination, Digital Twin implementation, and IoT integration within the construction or infrastructure industry, with a focus on water-related infrastructure projects. o Proven experience with one or more of the construction-related Digital Twin technologies from IBM, Siemens, Hexagon, Autodesk Tandem, and Invicara. o Experience in IoT data integration, sensor technologies, and working with real-time data systems. o Familiarity with AI/ML applications in predictive analytics, real-time monitoring, and operational optimization for infrastructure assets. o Experience with API development for data integration between BIM models, Digital Twin platforms, IoT, and asset management systems. · Technical Skills: o Expertise in BIM software (Revit, Civil 3D, Infraworks, etc.) and Digital Twin platforms (Autodesk Tandem, IBM Maximo, Siemens, Hexagon, Invicara). o Strong understanding of IoT technologies, including sensor integration, data collection, and real-time data management. o Experience with AI/ML algorithms and their application in infrastructure projects, particularly in the areas of predictive maintenance, performance optimization, and asset management. o Proficiency in API development and integration to ensure seamless communication between BIM, Digital Twin, IoT, and other project systems. o Knowledge of industry standards, protocols, and best practices for BIM and Digital Twin in the context of water and infrastructure projects. · Soft Skills: o Strong collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, from design to operations. o Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and deliverables simultaneously. o A problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. · Additional Qualifications: o Familiarity with water-related infrastructure design standards, codes, and regulations. o Experience working with asset management systems and smart infrastructure is a plus. --- Preferred Qualifications: · Advanced Certifications: Certification in Digital Twin technologies, BIM management, or AI/ML in construction. · Experience with Advanced IoT Systems: Familiarity with 5G IoT networks, cloud-based platforms, or edge computing solutions for real-time data integration. · Expert in Construction Analytics: Experience in using advanced analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or others for visualizing and interpreting data from BIM and Digital Twin systems.
