Responsibilities: Develop and implement data strategies aligned with the Retail/FMCG/Manufacturing/Energy and Distribution/Publishing organization's business objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders (including marketing, supply chain, sales, finance, production, and ecommerce) to identify data needs and prioritize initiatives that drive business value. Lead efforts to integrate data from multiple sources and systems to provide a comprehensive view of Retail/FMCG/Manufacturing/Energy and Distribution/Publishing operations. Implement data automation solutions to streamline processes and improve efficiency in data management and reporting. Lead the data ingestion, analysis, and interpretation of Retail/FMCG/Manufacturing/Energy and Distribution/Publishing data to identify opportunities for improvement, optimize processes, and enhance our overall business performance. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support Retail/FMCG/Manufacturing/Energy and Distribution/ Publishing strategy and decision-making processes. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR and PCI-DSS, in all data-related activities Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for Retail/FMCG/Manufacturing/Energy and Distribution/Publishing operations to monitor performance against established goals. Utilized predictive modeling and forecasting techniques to anticipate customer behavior, inventory demands, and sales trends. Work closely with the IT team to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices related to Retail/FMCG/Manufacturing/Energy and Distribution/ Publishing analytics and data management Assist in efforts to fulfill data requests sent from other business /MIS teams. The lead will be required to step in and work on data requests when needed. Attend requirements-gathering meetings, assist customers in crafting their requests, manage team workflow, and review final artifacts. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. Should have played a Lead role in at least 3 BI and Analytics implementation projects. Strong understanding of Retail/FMCG/Manufacturing/Energy and Distribution/Publishing operations, including sales, inventory management, merchandising, and customer experience. Proficiency in data lake and technologies, such as AWS / Google / Snowflake or similar. Proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar. Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehouse concepts. Good knowledge of advanced analytics skill sets like Machine Learning and AI is an advantage. Experience and knowledge of statistical modeling techniques: GLM multiple regression, logistic regression, log-linear regression, variable selection, etc. Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the Retail/FMCG/Manufacturing/Energy and Distribution/Publishing industry. Certifications in data management, business intelligence, or related areas are a plus.
